My experience with drug policy reform: Since the late Sixties I am involved, since the Seventies more and more actively in drug policy matters, first within the Netherlands Psychiatric Association, and later in the Netherlands Drug Policy Foundation and other organizations.
My view on Encod: Indispensable in the global and European political field.
Our contacts and activities all over Europe are unique.
In the coming two years I want to contribute to Encod in the following way: My main interests are informing people and influencing opinions, discussing and thinking about strategies, using the opportunities our activities and contacts offer.
I would be a good SC member because: My strength is, as far as I know: to explain many aspects of the “drug policy debate” to badly or insufficiently informed audiences, in a way that is convincing (and consistent with ENCOD’s views and positions). And my weakness is that I work somewhat chaotically. I could use more discipline.
