Herewith we ask all Encod members who wish to be involved in the steering of the organisation to present their candidature for the new Steering Committee before 15 June, with a message to office at encod.org A member of the ENCOD Steering Committee is expected:
to be actively present on the SC mailing list at least once a week. to be able to understand (basic) English. to think strategically, reflect on and give constructive feedback to all issues that are discussed by the SC, help taking a decision on them and afterwards defend this decision. to write the ENCOD Monthly Bulletin once every 5 or 6 months and comment the drafts written by others (edited in the last days of the month). to represent ENCOD at official events, when invited. to support and supervise the functioning of the secretariat in one of Encods main activities (see below) to help prepare and follow up on decisions of General Assembly. to take part in SC meetings (2/3 times a year) Encods main activities1. Campaigns: Cannabis Social Clubs - Plan C (Coca leaf) - Vienna - Actions on drug war prisoners 2. Lobby: Participation in UN meetings (CND in March and Vienna NGO Committee) - Civil Society Forum, EU - Contacts in European Parliament 3. Information Website - Other Internet based information (Facebook etc.) - Monthly bulletin - Press strategies - Research 4.
